Responsibilities of a Garage Door Installer Helper
As a Garage Door Installer Helper, your primary responsibility is to assist the Garage Door Technician in providing exceptional service to our customers. Your duties will include:Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times, representing our company positively.
Focusing on quality workmanship to ensure the installation and servicing of doors meet the highest standards.
Championing safety standards by following established protocols and guidelines.
Providing superior customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Working with a variety of hand tools, electric tools, and ladders to complete assigned tasks.
Regularly interacting with warehouse staff, construction Project Managers, customers, and other tradespeople to coordinate work activities.
Taking direction from the Garage Door Technician, who will guide and mentor you in learning the trade.
Actively participating in on-the-job training to develop your skills and knowledge.
Performing general warehouse duties to ensure an organized and efficient work environment.
Assisting with any other duties as assigned by the Garage Door Technician or Field Operations Manager.
Qualifications for the Garage Door Installer Helper Position
To be considered for the Garage Door Installer Helper position, you should meet the following qualifications:Minimum 3 to 6 months of experience in a relevant trade, such as construction, welding, or millwright.
Demonstrated resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean drivers abstract. Any relevant safety training and tickets are considered assets, including WHMIS, Fall Protection, and First Aid certifications.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.Physical capabilities including lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting, kneeling, and handling equipment and tools.
Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessments.
Candidates must provide a current Drivers Abstract at their own cost as part of the hiring process.
